Kipawa River Rally

Come participate at the 30th edition of the Kipawa River Festival, from Friday June 24th, until Sunday June 26, 2016.

SECTION :

begins at the Laniel Dam, finishes in Temiscaminque Lake.

REGISTRATION:

for security reasons, we ask that you register for the festival before putting on the river. Registration will be held at Laniel camping (beginning of the section). A topographic guide of the river, with co-ordinates for emergency services and evacuation instructions for injured persons in case of emergency will be distributed.

COST :

anticipate 20$ per day (access and camping at the take-out) + 10$ and per person for non-members of the FQCKEV for the entire weekend (temporary affiliation).

ACCOMODATIONS :

two camping sites are available for participants : the proprety of Scott Sorensen, situated at the take-out (Friday to Sunday only), and Laniel camping, located at the put-in (only open for Thursday night-Friday night and Sunday night-Monday night).

Hollywood Challenge :

competition organized for the first time this year on the legendary Hollywood rapid. The competition will be held on Saturday June 25th, starting at 2 :30. Check out the fecebook page « Hollywood Challenge » for any additional information.

Getting there

The Kipawa River is located in northwestern Quebec, on Highway 101, between the towns of Temiscaming and Ville Marie. It is a 16 km (10 mile) run of the river from the village of Laniel to Lake Temiscamingue.
